It has been a mammoth week,
but I am now very pleased to report that
the Big Easy move is complete. Fini. Done.

Thursday is the loneliest day of the week.
Everyone wishes it was Friday -
the gateway to the weekend.
We hold off on spending any large sums of money -
predicting the weekend holds treasures yet to reveal themselves.
Thursday is the day the glossy trash mag comes into play -
funds and fashion are running low by now.

The key to surviving Thursday?
A Banana and a cookie shaped like a bunny.

Back to basics for the slow slide into the weekend.
Home-made. Fruity goodness.
ELLE US to make me feel like a preppy college gal.

It took a pretty moment to choose my mag-o-the-day this morning.
What are we looking for in the way of a light morning read?

A quick browse of VOGUE Paris was endearing,
but the penny pinching/not-speaking-French part of me
passed on the Eurofash. For today...

Then there was the IN STYLE US, with Scar Jo on the cover,
all peachy keen.  But on further inspection, the gloss wore
off and the rag in my hands turned into one big infomercial.
That is some expensive junk mail.

Tempted by the possibilities of a freebie on the cover of an
English Ladies/Home Decor/(insert any mag title here) magazine.

So, I was lead back to the all-American ELLE US.
Aside from the Fergie cover, I am pleasantly rewarded
 and begin to peruse the articles, the accessories and the
impressive coverage of all things green and beautiful.x

Morning Business - Wednesday

Mid-week make-over time!
On the one well manicured hand, we have Vogue:
Style. Glamour. Grace.
Pretty Lanvin pastels and bold red banner.
And on the flip side, the gloss-tastic Famous:
Moody yellow, greige and pasty tween idols.

There we have it. I stood, and now sit, at a crossroads.
Vogue tells me plainly,
"WHAT YOU NEED NOW".


I get to choose my choice 
- style versus little-substance fluff.

The dollar$$$ are quickly doing 
a disappearing act  from my bank account.
Sadly, I stare at the piles of magazines I have 
to pack up for The Big Easy move.


On the plus side, 
Lady subcribes to Marie Clare, so there is one
small saving for womankind, 
and a small addition to my addiction.

So the choice is mine.
I choose style.
With a side of fluff. Every now and then. x

Morning Business - Tuesday

Cindy Loves mad men.
And the tv show, as well.

Stocking up for the first day of winter
with bunny biscuts and strawberry gum.
Busy and chilly is the theme today.

A blackout at the Girl Hut yesterday put general goings-on on hold
(Read: No more re-runs of SATC), so Lady and I got into the box business.
Packing our lives, one book, cd and dvd at a time.
Every little bit counts. x

Monday morning starts with a BANG!

Loading up on all the white right foods,
closely followed by putting my feet up to
explore the 33 page Sex & The City 2 special.

Heavenly.

The Big Easy move is in full swing.
Garage Sale saw a roaring trade on the weekend.
Followed by a quick dash to the shops
to invest all my profits into some blingin' estate jewels. x
